Freddy AI is Freshworks’ AI layer across customer and employee service products. In Freshservice, it is the main AI competitor surface against initlabs.

  • Freddy AI Agent: employee self-service across Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, portal, Microsoft 365 Copilot, 40+ languages, multi-turn/formless conversations, citations/grounding, enterprise search, and image support.
  • Freddy AI Copilot: ticket summaries, reply suggestions, field suggestions, similar ticket suggestions, resolution notes, translation, writing assistance, and related-change/context support.
  • Freddy AI Insights: proactive analytics, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, trends, and conversational insights.
  • Freddy AI Agent Studio: no-code skills/actions for autonomous agents that can resolve work rather than only answer questions.

Commercial Notes

Freddy AI Agent is Enterprise-only in Freshservice support docs, with 1,200 included sessions/year per Enterprise license. Freddy AI Copilot is a paid Pro/Enterprise add-on at $29/agent/month annually.

Implication for initlabs

Freddy AI establishes the minimum expected AI surface for a serious mid-market ITSM vendor: self-service agent, agent copilot, analytics, routing, summaries, knowledge generation, and some autonomous action. initlabs needs to differentiate on action reliability, integration depth, governance, and packaging rather than only claiming “AI assistant.”
