Salesforce
May 10 2026 refresh — Agentforce trajectory + new layer
Agentforce IT Service customer trajectory FLATTENING: 180 orgs at Feb 26 GA → ~200 signups by Apr 11 (The Register). Only ~20 net new orgs in ~6 weeks vs 180 in first 4 months. Next checkpoint: May 27 Q1 FY27 earnings call.
ServiceNow CEO publicly disputed Benioff’s “5 customers taken” claim: ServiceNow says only 1 actual switch (~$42k contract loss), others were not-yet-due renewals. Mark ^[ambiguous].
Agentforce Operations (GA Apr 29, 2026, built on Regrello tech): 30+ blueprints; chains Agentforce IT Service agents into back-office fulfillment (onboarding, approvals, compliance, invoice audit). Flow integration in Beta May 2026. Strategic pivot from “Slack-first ITSM UX” to “back-office orchestration with Big-4 distribution.”
Forward Deployed Engineering Partner Network (~Apr 25, 2026): formalized Big-4 channel — Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, Cognizant, IBM, KPMG, PwC, Slalom, TCS. Salesforce claims FDE partners drive 1/3 of successful Agentforce implementations.
Pricing reality: Flex Credits 2; Enterprise per-user 150k-$425k year one** with Data Cloud. Agentforce IT Service NOT separately SKU’d.
Strategic reframe: ”~$150B incumbent at scale” framing needs hedging — 200 signups = ~0.1% of CRM base, ~2.3% of ServiceNow ITSM base. Category is contested, not captured. Battle shifts to back-office orchestration + Big-4 distribution.
2026 acquisitions: Cimulate, Momentum, Qualified — none ITSM-direct.
Snapshot
- HQ: SF
- Public: NYSE:CRM
- CEO: Marc Benioff
- Market cap: ~185.66/share, Jun 5 2026; 52-wk range 276.80)
- Cap-table conflict status: Salesforce parent is now a direct ITSM competitor via Agentforce IT Service. Salesforce Ventures is therefore re-tiered to “soft conflict” — see salesforce-ventures.
Agentforce IT Service (Feb 2026 GA)
Salesforce launched Agentforce IT Service as part of its Agentforce platform with explicit ITSM displacement positioning:
- 180 organizations replaced legacy ITSM with Agentforce IT Service in 4 months post-GA
- Salesforce CEO publicly cited “five ServiceNow customers taken”
- Positioned: Slack-first / Microsoft-Teams-ready / channel-based / “purchase to production in weeks”

- Coverage: The Register — Salesforce vs ServiceNow ITSM battle
Why this matters for Init Intelligence
This validates the “Slack-first ITSM, rip-and-replace, weeks not months” wedge — the same wedge Ravenna and (partially) Console pitch — is now being underwritten by a ~$150B incumbent at scale.
Strategic implications:
- Pattern-match risk: Init Intelligence’s pitch needs to differentiate explicitly from Agentforce IT Service to avoid being read as “yet another Slack-first AI ITSM.”
- Salesforce Ventures re-tiered to soft conflict — parent product overlap.
- The category is now contested by four AI-first incumbents: ServiceNow (EmployeeWorks/Autonomous Workforce), Atlassian (Jira SM + Dia), Salesforce (Agentforce IT Service), and Automation Anywhere (Aisera, post-acquisition Nov 2025).
Other AI surface
- Slack — primary chat surface; Agentforce 360 ISV embedment for partners that don’t compete with Service Cloud
- AppExchange / Agentforce 360 Builders — late 2025 ISV motion
- Service Cloud — historically dominant in customer service (external) — now extended into employee-facing ITSM
